At Hosteons, we understand that some projects or business use cases require a large block of IP addresses — such as a /24 (256 IPs). While this is a fairly advanced setup, we do support it under specific conditions.

That said, to ensure our network stays clean and isn’t exploited for abusive activities like spamming or bulk mailing, we’ve implemented strict policies and checks around such requests.

🚫 Why We Restrict Bulk IP Allocations by Default

As per our Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP), we do not allow bulk mailing, newsletter distribution, or spam-related activities. These policies are in place to protect:

✅ The reputation of our IP space

✅ Our network infrastructure

✅ The deliverability and quality of service for all customers

However, we also recognize that there are legitimate mailers and infrastructure users who need large IP allocations — and we’re here to support you, as long as you meet our criteria.

✉️ SMTP Port is Blocked by Default — But Can Be Opened

Due to the high potential for abuse, SMTP (Port 25) is blocked by default on all our VPS plans.

But if you’re a verified, legitimate user, we will gladly open SMTP upon request — just raise a support ticket. This helps us protect our IPs from blacklisting and ensures better overall email deliverability.

📦 Terms & Conditions for Allocating a /24 IP Block

We take abuse prevention seriously. If you’re interested in getting a /24 block (256 IPs), you’ll need to meet the following requirements:

  • $2 per IP per month
  • Must be paid annually in advance

To avoid abuse and payment disputes (often initiated by bad actors after service suspension), we only accept the following for /24 IP orders:
